The purpose of the Northern California Industry Liaison Group (“NCILG”), a chapter of the National Industry Liaison Group, is to strengthen relationships among federal contractors, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) by fostering open communication between the groups. The role of the NCILG shall be engaging in activities to promote its purpose with the prevailing goal of working towards equality in the workplace.The mission of the NCILG is to provide a forum for communication between affirmative action professionals from the public and private sectors. As a partnership between the contractor community and the Department of Labor’s OFCCP, the NCILG, aims to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, gain technical assistance, discuss compliance issues, share outreach resources and learn from legal and other experts as well as their colleagues in the contractor community. As collaborative participants, members of the NCILG strive to gain a better understanding of the technical, legal, and regulatory aspects necessary in ensuring equal employment opportunity in the workplace.
